Are Learning Styles a Myth?

There's an idea in education that each student has a particular learning style (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, or reading/writing) that best helps them understand content. As teachers, we try to create content to cater to these learning styles so each student in the classroom has an equal opportunity to succeed.
